Dog Walking Terms of Agreement

1. Parkside Pet Services will walk the dog described on the customer details form for not less than the time and on the days mentioned on the form, from the customers address, unless stated otherwise. Parkside Pet Services reserves the right to walk other dogs that have been suitably matched at the same time; the total number of dogs walked by one person will not exceed four.

2. Parkside Pet Services will walk the dog mentioned on the customer details form on other occasions by arrangement.

3. Parkside Pet Services holds insurance in respect to public liability, care custody control extension (liability to animals) and loss of keys. The insurance in respect to the death, loss or injury of dogs in our care has a maximum liability of £5,000 per dog and Parkside Pet Services shall have no liability to the customer for any claim in respect of the dog, except such claim if any as covered by the insurance and admitted by the insurer.

4. The customer will either ensure that access is given to Parkside Pet Services to collect the dog from the agreed address at the agreed times, or will give Parkside Pet Services a key to access the dog. Parkside Pet Services will use the key to collect and return the dog and for no other purpose. The key will not be copied or handed to anyone else and will be returned to the customer on demand.

5. The customer is to provide a suitable collar/harness and lead (and when necessary a muzzle) for the dog to be walked with, and any other accessories the owner wishes. Parkside Pet Services has the right to refuse to walk any dog which is not provided with appropriate equipment (as mentioned above), the dog walk must still be paid in full as though the walk had taken place.

6. The customer will inform Parkside Pet Services fully of any characteristic or traits the dog has in order to ensure correct handling and care of the dog at all times.

7. The dog will be kept on lead at all times, unless we have your written consent to exercise the dog off lead.

8. Parkside Pet Services will provide bags and appropriate means to ensure the dog does not foul in any public or private place.

9. The customer will provide Parkside Pet Services with details of the dog’s vaccinations and contact details of its vet. If needed, Parkside Pet Services is authorised to refer the dog to the named (or in emergency any other) vet for advice or treatment at the customer’s expense. Parkside Pet Services are not obligated to pay this fee and the bill will be sent to the address as stated on the customer details form.

10. Either party may terminate this agreement by giving seven days’ notice. Any cancellations made by the customer without giving 24 hours’ notice will be charged at full price to the customer for the service which would have been provided.
