Hello and thanks for showing an interest in what we do.

Parkside Pet Services is a very new company and whilst it may be run by two enthusiastic, young animal experts, rest assured that we are old hands when it comes to looking after animals.

The idea behind our company came whilst Pippa and I (Alex) were studying for our HND in Animal Management. During our studies we became very aware of the need for animal carers who not only had a passion for animals but who also had the knowledge and experience to deal with whatever life throws at you and your pet. In our careers to date, we have been lucky enough to work in a wide-ranging variety of pet-related industries, including: boarding kennels, rescue centres, quarantine, pet rehabilitation, pet hydrotherapy and animal behaviour centres. We both plan to extend our areas of expertise with further courses in pet therapy and behaviour.

Alex - Hi, my name is Alex and I am co-founder of Parkside Pet Services a company dedicated to the care of peoples pets from the cute and cuddly to the weird and wonderful. Born in Cornwall I was soon whisked off spending parts of my childhood growing up in Egypt and Greece, this is where my first experiences in animal care began. Animals were frequently mistreated and disregarded by others and this spurred on my opinions against animal cruelty and led me to care for many of the abandoned or stray dogs and cats.

For as long as I can remember I have always cared and loved animals and my first true pet was Bonnie my collie cross Labrador who we rescued from a nearby shelter. Sadly she passed away last year however I cherish the memories we have and I will be forever grateful for all she taught me.

I have recently completed my four-year study in Animal Management leading to an HND. This course gave me a greater understanding for a range of animals from cats and dogs to the more exotic species.  
Currently I own seven miniature dwarf geckos, and I have recently re-homed a dog from Battersea, a Collie cross Springer Spaniel called Bounsir. I have also cared for a variety of pets and kept fish in the past.  
 

Pippa – Hi my name is Pippa and welcome to Parkside Pet Services. I live in Twickenham with my menagerie of weird and wonderful creatures. For as long as I can remember I have had an overwhelming passion for animals. Throughout my life I have had a wide range of pets from the traditional hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits, rats and mice to ferrets, cats, ducks, fish and tortoises. Dogs have always been my main passion; however I do have a particular interest in reptiles and have kept a wide variety of species over the past 10 years. When I’m not busy with Parkside Pet Services, the rest of my life currently revolves around my two beautiful dogs and my wonderful collection of reptiles.  

We are both hoping to achieve APDT approved canine behaviour qualifications which will allow us to provide a dog training service. In the mean time we hope you are able to take advantage of our services and we will look forward to hearing from you.
